G-Cloud 14 - RM1557.14
G-Cloud 14 replaced G-Cloud 13 and will continue to provide cloud hosting and software services, together with associated support services to the UK central government departments and all other public sector bodies.
The following changes have been implemented:
- Enhanced search functionality with filtering options to support navigation
- Increased transparency of services provided by each party in regards to their services
- Rating has been introduced to provide insights and supporting buying decisions
- G-Cloud 13 focused primarily on SaaS (Software as a Service), PaaS (Platform as a Service), and IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service). However, G-Cloud 14 introduced specialist cloud services, expanding its reach beyond the previous confines.
- Contract term has extended to 36 months
Note, the scope and application process for Lots 1-3 remain unchanged. Suppliers can apply for any combination of the four lots.
The public sector can use the G-Cloud framework on the Digital Marketplace to find:
- cloud hosting, for example PaaS and IaaS
- cloud software, for example SaaS
- cloud support, for example migration services or ongoing support
